Betty Schnall Goldfarb
From Rosalie Farb:
Gert had sent for Shirley to come, Chaja, whose papers were already completed. Chaja stayed in Poland to care for her ailing mother, and Betty came in her stead, on Chaja's papers. Betty had Sept. 15 as her date of birth, and my mother's birthdate was Sept. 16. Betty always said she was younger than her birth records stated, and that was true.
Betty Schnall married Phil Goldfarb, and they lived in Philadelphia.
Chaja and Betty were always very close. Irving Garten and Rosalie Goldfarb Lazarow, were born on the very same day, January 3, 1951.
When my family came to Canada, Betty named me Rosalie, an English version of Ratsela, and Betty's son, when he was born, was named Irving. Both sisters had two children named after their parents in Hebrew and in English, Rosalie and Irving.
Rosalie Goldfarb married David Lazarow.
Irving Goldfarb married Marlene
